The shift in the reactions caused story lines of Kamishibai was also investigated. The observational study was conducted on kindergartners(N=27,age 4-5), and children's reactions were classified into linguistic and physical reactions. Linguistic reactions contained reciting dialogs, reading out loud, voicing the question, making a comment on pictures, gasping in surprise, and dishing out complaints to friends or teachers. Physical reactions consist ed of staring, looking away, changing postures, clapping their hands, touching themselves, meddling in friends, imitating characters, smiling, and nodding.
